HRBT Channel:
· “Has anyone else noticed that the HRBT channel has changed too? It's not a regular heart monitor thing anymore, it's getting kinda... funky... like whatever's attached to the monitor is in danger, or dying. I'm no good with symbolism, do you have any clue what this all could mean?”
o As far as the HRBT channel goes, I listened to it last night, but haven’t noticed any changes.
From MTV: My Chemical Romance’s Danger Days: Born In The USA:
· And that’s sort of the point, isn’t it? Dangers Days isn’t supposed to plumb the same murky depths The Black Parade did or strike the same misfit poses as Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge. If it did either of those things, it would be a rehash — and probably quite boring — and My Chem don’t do rehashes. They set the past ablaze and walk away from the pyre, stumbling off into the darkness with only the flames to light the way. This is a large part of what makes them a great band: They are fearless, almost to a fault. And Danger Days is most definitely their most fearless album, proudly — almost defiantly — kissing the past goodbye, ditching the pancake makeup and overwrought histrionics for an album’s worth of lean, mean, missile-launcher rock.
Special Edition Box Set Preorders:
· If you follow @MCROfficial or check the site often, you probably already know that they’ve started preorders for a super sweet special edition box set for the album for $69.99. (FYI: f you live in Texas and go with standard shipping, that’ll come out to around $80.) Alt Press is also reporting on it. It’s…rather expensive, but I’m also pretty sure this has the most stuff in it of all the special edition sets that they’ve done, too. According to the box set’s purchase page, if you preorder before November 11th, it’s more or less guaranteed to arrive on the 22nd.
“The Only Hope for Me is You”:
· Miss Calamity Cassie, everybody’s favorite Poison Woman, tweeted about Amazon having a page up for a possible new MCR single last night. (Behold the Amazon page.) Everything on the page is spelled correctly, but so far as I know, there hasn’t been anything advertised about the release of another single so soon. Guess we’ll just have to wait until October 12th to find out.
KLSK:
· The KLSK station has once again changed songs. Someone told Yekith“Horse Latitudes” by The Doors. (Now is about the time when those of us who remember a voice post by Frank get a little nostalgic.) Yekith also found that there’s a Wikipedia page on horse latitudes, so if anyone wants to start looking at that… that the song (more like a creepy-ass rant, really) is
Most Anticipated Album:
· Lastly, for now, MTV is holding a poll asking which album we’re most anticipating this season. (This also comes via Cassie on Twitter.) I think we know what the answer is, no? Fortunately, they’re an option on the poll!
Random Stuff:
· A lot of things were said and done before the premiere of “NaNaNa”, so much so that the fandom rejoiced in more ways than one. But soft, what is this? Suddenly “Only Hope” is released with little more than an amazon page announcing it’s existance and a tweet here and there from the guys once it’s arrived.
· Why the sudden 2nd single? And with a song that’s been paralleled in magazines to Famous Last Words, one of MCR’s most famous songs, you’d think it’d get as much coverage as “NaNaNa”.
· And then I had a silly little thought. Much like WTTBP and FLW, will NaNaNa and Only Hope be paired videos? Is that why they decided to release it after NaNaNa? They were just recording the video. Maybe they made a video for Only Hope, or possibly had an epiphamy to make a video for it later and decided to release it now.
· Who knows, but if I’m right and we find out later that the videos were filmed much like The Black Parade set, I am so going to dance around and proclaim loudly, “I knew it!”
o [Hmm… It’s an interesting theory! And an interesting observation to make. I can only hope, that if the two videos are paired up, that the video for “The Only Hope” doesn’t incite as visceral an emotional reaction as the video for FLW had on me. >.> I’d kind of like to be able to watch all the videos from this era on a regular basis! XD
o Speaking of videos, did anybody see the extended preview for “Na Na Na” while it was still up? Someone has uploaded a ripped version to Media Share; should have that link later on.
WKIL:
· In case this hasn’t gotten to you yet, WKIL has changed. In addition to what was already there, there is now a video transmission, much like the robot one (messed up and noisy) of what looks like a view of Battery City from some far away zone.
Show Pony = Johnny Weir?
· This just in from Station MITH, it has been assumed that Show Pony is a very popular and famous American ice skater know as Johnny Weir. This is speculation, but a J. W. and MCR fan posted this artwork on deviantART stating so. My own knowledge of this ice skater is telling it’s not him, but it’s something to think about. Are there any other well-known male skaters, ice or otherwise, that are this freaking pretty???
o I’m not very familiar with skating in gerneral, so I don’t know. But I did a quick search on Google Images and I think they look fairly similar.

Second Video Underway?

§ So, I’m guessing it means the 2nd video was shot this weekend. I’m guessing 2nd single is, after all, “The Only Hope For Me Is You”… ‘cause releasing yet another song before Nov 22nd seems odd.
BL/ind Guest Pass/Employment Pass:
· I’ve noticed this for quite a while now…just never thought to mention it until today. Around 1:23~1:24 on the official video for “Na Na Na”, I notice that there’s a card-thingy dangling along side the mousehead. Combine that with some of the ex-police force theory…maybe the Killjoys aren’t involved with S/C/A/R/E/C/R/O/W, but with BLind itself? And the fact that Sir Bald of Badass Korse tells Party Poison to “keep running” makes everything a bit more…interesting. Also, at the end of the video, one of the Dracs seem very interested in the little girl’s radio…either there’s something special involving it, or he’s just very curious.
o I could be misinterpreting, but are you suggesting that the Killjoys are aligned with BL/ind? Personally, I don’t think that’s very likely. Korse’s message the end to “keep running” doesn’t seem like friendly advice. We’ve seen in one of the music video previews that the Dracs carry BL/ind name tags… The other, more plausible option is that the Killjoys formerly were involved with BL/ind somehow but either left or were forced out. Korse really seems to have it out for the guys, which puts into question why he stole the Little Girl in the first place. Spite? Is she important to BL/ind?
